What to Bring

Fly Rods & Reels:

We suggest 8 and 9 weight rods for shallow and calm waters, 10 weight for rip and deep water fishing. 9' rods are the norm. Reels should hold 200 yards of 20 or 30 lb. backing and have a smooth drag system.

Fly Lines & Leaders:

Depth charge, sinking and intermediate lines are recommended. Leaders of 6' to 9' in 12#, 16# and 20#. We prefer flourocarbon for leader and tippet materials.

Bring your favorites!

Flies:

For bass and bluefish we use jiggies, clousers, deceivers, herring, bunker and squid patterns in assorted sizes from 1/0 to 4/0, with white and chartreuse over white always a good start.

For albies and bonito we use bonito bunnies, jiggies, epoxy flies in anchovy and silverside patterns.

Fly and spinning rods are available for your use. You are welcome to bring your own tackle if you prefer.

*** We cannot stress enough the importance of practicing your fly casting before you join us for a day on the water. Ten minutes a day will pay big dividends during your trip ***

Things to Bring:

• Hat
• Sunglasses - preferably polarized
• Warm/dry clothing, dress in layers - it is usually cooler on the water
• Foul weather clothing
• Camera
• Sunscreen
• Soft-soled shoes - No black soled shoes of any kind allowed!

Complimentary soft drinks and bottled water are provided. Lunches will be provided on full day trips if requested ahead of time for an additional fee.
